Sleep Theory Bring Their First Australian Tour to Perth's Magnet House
Sleep Theory are coming to Perth, and Perth gets them first. The Memphis metalcore crew open their debut Australian tour at Magnet House on Sunday 7 February 2027, with Los Angeles duo RIVALS in support. If you have been playing 'Static' and 'Stuck In My Head' loud enough to worry the neighbours, this is the short version: it is one Perth date, tickets go on sale at 9am local time on 31 July, and being west means you get the very first show of the run. Below is who they are, who is opening, every date on the tour, and the honest bit about actually getting in.

Tickets via Destroy All Lines"For the first time ever, we're coming to AUSTRALIA this February with RIVALS. We can't wait to see you," posted the band, who took home Best Breakthrough Album at the 2026 Heavy Music Awards. First tour, opening night, in a room the size of Magnet House. That is the kind of show people bring up for years.
Who are Sleep Theory
Sleep Theory are an American metalcore and nu metal band out of Memphis, the ones who fold R&B and pop hooks into the heavy stuff and somehow make it work. They are behind 'Static', 'Numb' and 'Stuck In My Head', and since their 2023 debut EP 'Paper Hearts' they have picked up praise from the likes of Jelly Roll and Disturbed's David Draiman, and shared stages with Shinedown, Falling In Reverse, Beartooth, Nothing More, Wage War, Set It Off and Daughtry. Not a bad five years.
Earlier this month they released a three-song covers EP, '(E)motional (S)upport (C)are (P)ackage', taking on *NSYNC's 'Bye Bye Bye', Paramore's 'My Heart' and Taylor Swift's 'Cruel Summer'. "We've loved playing these covers live for you, so we had to give you the studio versions," they said, which is a decent hint that the Perth setlist may have a curveball or two.
RIVALS, opening the night
Support comes from Los Angeles duo RIVALS, who are about to support Nevertel on their North American tour. Their dark pop-rock leans on mood and melody rather than the formula, which makes them a smart pairing for a headliner that also refuses to sit in one lane. Get there early. Openers on a tour like this are not a warm-up act you skip for the bar.
Every date on the tour
If Perth does not suit, or you have mates in another state, here is the whole run.
- Sunday 7 February 路 Perth, Magnet House
- Wednesday 10 February 路 Adelaide, The Gov
- Friday 12 February 路 Melbourne, 170 Russell
- Saturday 13 February 路 Sydney, Metro Theatre
- Sunday 14 February 路 Brisbane, The Princess Theatre
How to actually get in
One Perth date, a first Australian tour, and a band whose profile has climbed fast. That combination usually means a room that fills, so a plan beats a panic.
Two rules of thumb. First, be ready when tickets go live at 9am on 31 July, not scrolling at 9:05 wondering where the good spots went. The fair way to run a busy on-sale is a proper waiting list that holds your place in order, not a refresh-race that rewards whoever has the fastest thumb. I wrote up how fair queuing actually works if you want the mechanics. Second, the hill I will die on: if you miss out, do not pay a scalper triple face value. A resale listing at three times the price is not a market, it is a tax on wanting to be there, and the money goes to someone who was never going to the show.
If you are lining up more nights out west before then, the Perth what's on hub and Ticketted's discover page will keep the calendar busy.
The takeaway
Perth opens the whole thing: Sleep Theory, RIVALS, Magnet House, Sunday 7 February 2027, first show of their first Australian tour. Tickets go on sale 9am local on 31 July, and after that it is between you and your alarm clock. Sort the tickets on the on-sale, get there in time for RIVALS, and let the Memphis lot do the rest. I will be the one at the back who knows every word to 'Cruel Summer' and is pretending it is ironic.
