Bryan Adams Opens His 2027 Australian Tour in Perth
Perth, you lucky lot. Bryan Adams is kicking off his entire 2027 Australian tour at RAC Arena, which means the west coast gets the very first night before Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide or Melbourne get a look in. I have been playing air guitar to 'Summer Of '69' since the news dropped, badly, and my two-year-old now thinks that's just a thing Dad does.

Some tours are a gig. This is a sing-along you already know the words to. Bryan Adams has spent four decades writing the songs that soundtrack everyone's big moments, from 'Summer Of '69' and '(Everything I Do) I Do It For You' to 'Heaven', 'Run To You', 'Cuts Like A Knife', 'Please Forgive Me' and 'When You're Gone'. The Canadian's mantelpiece is equally silly: 8 ARIA Awards, 2 Brit Awards, a Billboard Music Award and 3 Grammy nominations.
He is also, remarkably, not slowing down. He played 140 shows worldwide in 2025, he's closing in on his 70th birthday, and he's out here promoting his 16th studio album, 'Roll With The Punches', released last August on his own Bad Records label. He's described the title track as "the spirit of getting back up no matter how hard you've been knocked down", which is either a life philosophy or a description of my knees at a standing arena show. Possibly both.
Joining him as special guest is Natalie Imbruglia, which is a properly good undercard. Get there early for that one.
That's 'Summer Of '69', in case you needed reminding why the whole room is about to lose it. If his last Australian run is anything to go by (here's scenestr's review of his Adelaide show), the live version hits even harder.
Stripped back and still swinging
Adams has been leaning into a raw, stripped-back live feel he calls "Bare Bones", just guitar, piano, harmonica and voice. Here he is describing it himself.

How to actually get tickets
The on-sale is 12pm AWST on Monday 20 July, and a Bryan Adams arena show with a Perth opener is the kind of thing that shifts a lot of tickets in a hurry. So a bit of honest, watched-a-lot-of-on-sales advice.
Have one person on it, ready a few minutes early on the day, rather than five of you refreshing on separate phones and quietly competing for the same four seats. A good on-sale drops everyone into a fair, first-in queue instead of rewarding whoever mashes the button hardest, and if you want to know what's happening while you wait, I wrote up how fair ticket queues work. Refreshing does not move you up the line. It just tires out your thumb before the fun begins.
One logistics note, because I care about your Tuesday night. RAC Arena is right in the city, which is a gift, but a mid-week arena show still means a plan for getting home when a few thousand people leave at once. Sort that before the encore, not during it. And while February feels a long way off, have a browse of what else is on to fill the gap.
That's your night sorted. A back catalogue you've known since before you'll admit, Natalie Imbruglia warming the room, and one bloke down the front doing the air-guitar solo like his life depends on it. If that's me, and it will be, just give me a respectful nod and let me have my '69.
